I am so jealous of your vacation. AHHH! Looks like a wonderful vacation!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I want to try that ice cream. Dogs! They're the worst! Santa stuffed some mace in my stocking for that very reason :)
ReplyDeleteMan, I am so jealous.
ReplyDeleteWe did a big trip with our extended family to NC this past summer. It was awesome!
yes, we went to Jamaica with my hubby's family this last Mary for my SIL's wedding. We had a great time. Glad you didn't have to actually use the boulder! And that ice cream sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteNo picture of the shark? :P
ReplyDeleteHaving dogs come after you while running is scary. I am happy you are ok!
I have not done an extended family vacay in a long time! I am not sure how it would go with my in-laws.
What a great trip. So glad you had fun... and did a great job fishing! : )
ReplyDeleteAwesome family vacation ... more importantly, it looks WARM!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo much to comment on!! I want one of those boat dogs!! I would have come along on that vacation ! :)
ReplyDeleteHee, hee. Love the MIL references. We have never traveled with ours and I can say...it wouldn't work!
ReplyDeleteThat looked like a fantastic trip. Especially that ice cream!
What a fantastic trip! You know I have never had key lime pie. I really need to try it!
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I loved Key West when we went years ago. We saw the show they put on at sunset, went to some of the iconic places, saw and petted some of those six-toed cats, and did a few cool scuba dives just off the coast. Glad you had a good time, and Key Lime pie is nearly always a good thing. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I went to Key West on a cruise for our honeymoon, it was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWe have traveled with my husband's family to Maine (where my parents live) and it really doesn't work. My MIL is way too overbearing and a fight usually breaks out. I'm glad that they are at least 3 hours away, but I wish that they were 10 hours like my parents are. If only they could switch places!
Most important is how many drinks with umbrellas in them? Sounds like a great time.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!! I WANT coconut ice cream right now!!! My MIL went home yesterday - she was more of a tropical depression this year - not bad, not bad at all!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome trip! Hurricane MIL, haha, I've seen those.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great trip, thanks for bringing some of the sunshine back to Chicago!
ReplyDeleteI love Key West, I went with my in-laws....and....my husband and I escaped to Sloppy Joe's!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sensing a theme wih that key lime. Sounds like a fabulous trip!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a beautiful & warm trip!
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like you had a fantastic time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your note yesterday. It meant a lot to me.
Oh so much fun! jealous of the charter trip and the key lime pie - Glad you had a blast!
ReplyDeletehaha I can't get over the hurricane MIL - my older sister is the hurricane in the family - and yet again this Christmas, she struck! Too bad I couldn't evacuate to the local Motel 6 - no Westins in my town
ReplyDeleteHoly Shark! That looks scary! Love the post in numbers.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great trip!! Glad you are all safe :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wondeful trip! Love the numbers.
ReplyDeleteLook at how cute you are fishing in your Colorado visor :).
ReplyDeleteThe shark made me jump just from the picture!
ReplyDeleteMy mom is talking about renting a Fla. condo for her retirement next summer, so we may be trying the vacation with extended family thing. It usually works out well for us as long as the shower and sleeping quarter situation is good.
It looks like a wonderful vacation! I hope you are still feeling relaxed.
what a gorgeous trip!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great trip indeed! I've never been to Key West, but it looks like a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteThe main trip I've been on vacation with extended family with is with my aunt and her family, we have gone on 3 cruises before - alot of fun.
Looks like a great trip (except for the attempted dog attacks). Loved the pics!
ReplyDeleteAren't MIL's the best?! Mine is almost 92 now and still has a scathing tongue when it suits her purpose. The only upside is that I'm fairly sure I'll out-live her.
ReplyDeleteThree runs and three dog attacks. Was it one attack per run and was it the same dog?
Sounds like a great trip! I usually only see extended family in already unpleasant environments like their houses, so we never do "fun" trips together. Glad it went well though! And I hear pepper spray works well on dogs too, though the rock sounds like excellent strength training.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I've been to Key West just once (wedding) and loved the warm water, fishing, group sing-alongs in the pubs, and drag shows (of all things). :)
ReplyDeleteNo extended family getaways for us yet unless you count big wedding getaways with friends. I see it in our future, though, as it will make traveling with kids much easier.
Other than the hurricane (ugh, been there done that) and the dogs, sounds like a fantastic trip.
ReplyDeleteMost of our vacations over the past 10 years have been extended family trips, including a 2+ week camping trip out west. It can be great fun and tearing-your-hair-out frustrating. Now that my MIL no longer expects us all to move in lockstep, it's not as painful.
OMG, what a fantastic vacation!
ReplyDeleteBtw, key lime pie is my absolute favorite and I haven't had it in FOREVER!
Looks like a great time was had by all.....and those fishing pics are AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteGoing on a Caribbean cruise with family in February....should be interesting!
Happy New Year!
Looks like a great trip! Glad you survived hurricane MIL! I have not attempted an extended family vacation - it would not be pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome trip! I have never tried Key Lime Pie, but this almost makes me want too! Glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great trip.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I see a Celebrity Cruises ship .... to find a berth for this kind of ships is part of my job..... but now I have a whole week off!!!
Glad you enjoyed the trip south, and that you survived the Hurricane...
